Music: Aybee | Astral Metronome | Deepblak Recordings
After releasing Afrikan Science and Damon Bell EP’s on Deepblak, label head Aybee delivers a journey into all things deep. The EP starts off with “No Fiction”, a low frequency bass track that allows your imagination to flourish on the dance floor. Following up is “Ether”, this time Aybee speeds things up a bit. Laced up with his signature percussion sounds, Aybee strips down his sound to a more minimal-techno route. “Ether”has a early dub techno feel that will mix well with certain Silent Servant or Maurizio’s tracks. Aybee saves the best for last with “Kommands”.
You can’t really label this style, but it truly is a masterpiece of work. A breakbeat is pulsating throughout the track while a twangy baseline rumbles along making you want to shake them hips.
