There’s an R&B renaissance taking place in 2012, and up-and-coming crooner Rochelle Jordan is making sure her voice is heard in the midst of it all. The Toronto-based songstress is back on the scene with her latest LP, P R E S S U R E.

The free LP serves as a great followup to her 2011  release R O J O, with songs that are emotionally heartfelt as they are catchy (see: Losing). The 12-track offering, entirely written by Rochelle herself with dope production from KLSH, brings an incomparable sound to a genre that has undergone several transformations in the last decade alone. While independent female artists are growing scarce, her album title poignantly personifies her struggle in the industry. I’m guessing maybe a fellow Toronto native could catch wind of this songbird and provide some assistance? Hmm..
