DJ/Producer/KCRW enthusiast Anthony Valadez is still on his quest to conquer the Southern Californian music scene and has enlisted Dutch vocalist Mar and Bay Area band The Park for his latest single, Under Water.

The smooth song was surprisingly enough conceived during a jam session between Valadez and The Park, with the final addition just a meeting away.

“We were sitting in a Chinese restaurant talking about music and I mentioned how much I love his voice and he began jokingly singing George Michael’s Last Christmas,” Valadez said. “I knew instantly I wanted to record with this guy!”

Needless to say, the disc jockey got his wish. Under Water is the first single from his upcoming album, Just Visiting, which is set to drop on June 5. Check out the chill track below, including a remix by Mar’s right hand man Full Crate.
