Sam Spratt, a 24-year-old NYC-based artist, has contributed his imaginative illustrations for a number of high-profile clients such as MSNBC, Warner Music, EMI and a host of others. For his latest offering, the ambitious artisan shares with us his collaborative project with recording artist Childish Gambino entitled, American Royalty.

The collection of illustrations, which were originally intended as cover art for Gambino’s recently released mixtape Royalty, covers a wide range of sequences which strays away from the cliched hip-hop tendencies to offer a more grounded look at the realities of American life.
