Nas has been steadily building up the momentum to his next studio album Life Is Good, giving us The Don and the unique Black Girl Lost sequel in recent months, but gives us a true taste of what to expect with his newest single, Daughters.

The No I.D. produced track perfectly sets up the Queens emcee to craft a clever ode to the daughters of the world and the circumstances that come with a single father raising one. Whether he drew inspiration from his own experiences or not, it’s apparent that Nas sounds like he hasn’t lost a step lyrically, which bodes well for fans (including myself) awaiting his 10th LP.
